I asked why they use a mobile number and they told me that they have a number generator to use random Australian mobile numbers that are not in use.
Seems pretty dodgy to me

Simply save the number as panthera Finance and never answer this clowns calls...too easy ...once you make an arrangement you have acknowledged the debt-ignore him for 5 years and they cant do anything

Yes, panthera finance, debt collectors on behalf of AGL ( in my case anyway).
I did not know that he/they would receive a commission on payments, no wonder he was such an aggressive prick!
Also, very good point posted by Rodger, if they call a land line that is one thing, but to call a mobile FROM a mobile number, you really have no idea who you really are speaking with...

Debt Collector, I wont deal with these people when they call from Mobile Phones, as landlines are fixed to an address these are not, I will be lodging complaints over this matter as there is no real way of knowing who these people are when they call from a mobile number.

He is Clive Tomkins from Australian Mercantile debt collectors. He is a true arrogant a**hole. Speak to someone else or he may get a commission on payments you make. Call the agency direct and don't take his calls or talk to him.
