Indian accent. Said my internet was running slow and would upgrade me to NBN free of charge.

Prerecorded call, supposedly from Amazon. I didn’t stick around to hear the rest.

answered the call as I saw it was an Australian mobile but all I got at the other end was static, wish I had checked this site first. They called on our landline.

Was a recorded message saying it was Amazon Prime and to press 1 if I wanted to cancel my account. I don't have Amazon Prime. Blocked immediately.

Hung up. Why can't these calls be traced and the persons dealt with.

The call was received by the fixed line answering machine, but no message was left ! After reading the comments I'm glad that I didn't answer the call !

i had exactly the same recording saying they were deducting money from my account!!! i dont have amazon! another scammer grrrrr

I missed the call, didn't recognise the number so blocked it.

They hung up straight away - block this caller !!!

Answered and said hello twice but no response so hung up

When I answered I got a voice recording regarding my Amazon Prime membership which would be renewed for $99, and if I did not wish for this to occur to press 1. I hung up at that point.
I did just pay for Amazon Prime a few hours ago, but I didn't fall for the trap.
