Got a message claiming that someone has updated my beneficiaries on my bank account, click on the link if it was not you approving this.

Claims that a payment code that’s included is for Comm Bank for payment to “David” and asks receiver to click on a link. I would suggest you don’t!

SMS text message supposedly from Medicare as follows (received 16/06/2022):
‘Medicare: You have been in close contact with someone who has contracted Omicron. You must order a free PCR Test Kit at: https://medi.care-status.com.’
**Do not open this link. ** This is very likely a scam as per a current Scam Alert on Medicare Australia’s website.

This number is a scam that also circulated in the UK. It purports to supply you with an Omicron Test kit. It wants your details under the guise of sending you a free PCR test kit. It alludes to you experiencing consequences if you fail to follow up this contact. It appears to be a Medicare Australia produced message but is missing genuine Australian Government details despite trying to say it is an Australian Government site.
