Caller: Private Health Telemarketing

Caller asking about “Private Health” policies. eg Do you own a policy, how long have you had a policy for, would you be interested in changing policy holders

Caller: "Aussie Shore"

The purpose of the call was not clear, so erring on the side of caution and labelling this as a scam call. The call was from "Aussie Shore", asking to conduct a short survey about private health insurance. However, the "person" on the other side of the call was rather clearly a bot using a bunch of recorded snippets of an otherwise real sounding person. To be clear, this isn't like the still rather obvious AI-generated voices you hear a lot today - these really did sound like recordings of a real person, complete with sounds in the background like the person is in a call centre. When I directed the conversation away from insurance, the other "person" was completely unable to change gears a-la a robocall. Maybe this person/business is trying to achieve a more human-like sounding robocall but otherwise has innocuous intentions, or maybe it is worse than that. Most unsolicited survey calls you get nowadays are still human operators, so again I'm a little more suspicious of this organisation. Either way, buyer beware.

Caller: AI HEALTH insurance scam

Completely ai generated phone call claiming to be a health insurance compare. Sounds somewhat legit but if you start asking random things it literally answers as if you were asking ChatGPT. Ask what the weather is doing in Adelaide and you will understand what I mean. Pathetic
