Sent a sms message about mygov being potentially compromised so visit the said link to fix account if this recent change wasn’t made by me. Instead of using the hyperlink, I went to mygov actual portal and checked for any suspicious activity or new change I wasn’t aware of; nothing was changed.

Don’t trust everything. When in doubt, double check the official site you know of by searching it in Google then going from there or visit your nearest centre with staff, so you can double check or verify if what the sms said is the real truth with an another assumingly reliable human.
