said he was from telstra and he would fix my computer or phone line he said his name was harry williams
didnt sound like a harry

Well spoken senior guy claiming he was from Police Welfare Foundation. He asked if I was the business owner, but I said it was a personal number. He then asked to confirm I was not the owner of [my business name], and when I lied that I wasn't he apologised and said goodbye. Actually got me worried for a bit that I'd infringed on the law...!

Someone named Pauline Morgan called and claimed to be from AusPol Police Welfare Foundation wanting sponsorship and donation money for their supposed youth drug awareness brochures.

she wanted money over the phone. Said she couldn't to send email with details first.

Called claiming to be from federal police and wanted $400 to advertise my business in a police fundraising book, he hung up very quickly when I said I'm not paying him anything.

Got a call from this number at 3:00pm today, when I answered the phone the first thing the lady said was are you owner of (my business name) when I asked who I was talking too the lady refused to answer so I hung up.

Calvyn called from Police apparently.
Could hardly understand him, but wanted money for some youth group.

Got a call from this number this morning. A woman saying she's from Victoria Police, asking to clarify I'm the business owner.
When challenge them, just hung up, and couldn't call them back.

got phone call from this number this moring saying he is police officer and they are working with YCMA (hope I spell it right), help youth people stay away from drugs. I felt very weird because that is a mobile phone number and police officer ask me for money?! And he knew our business name, I assume he must got the number online or sth.

male called Ben K claimed to be from pcyc would not say how he got my contact details but pretty sure it comes through a police check when applying for liquor licence with local council for a company. no one else knew my company name or my phone number.

same as above. hung up on me when i asked where she was calling from as she spoke so fast and i missed the company name.

Just had the same call as above. Reported to Vic Police.
