Caller: Received a text Message was that my ANZ account had unusual activity. I do not have any ANZ accounts. They have since sent a second message. I have reported to ANZ online.

I do not have an account with ANZ and have never used ANZ for any banking. So my Alarm bell was ringing as soon as I saw the institute.

Caller: Claims to be ANZ bank "we have detected some unusual activity on your account. If you just linked a new P PayID via Mobile Banking, ignore this msg, if NOT cancel via: anzpayeecancel
Rec'd an earlier message the same from Commonwealth Bank. We do not do banking in one of these banks and do not do mobile banking. I rang the number of the CBA one and an Eastern accent answered in a foreign language. This number is 0481 852 322 which appears to be purchased in Canberra.
