Text received purporting to be from MyGov, but detected by my provider as a Phishing mesage. It read exactly as shown: [My.Gov]: We are unable to process your $2550 refund, please provide a new ID to receive it. For details, click:feedin.website.
Red flags are that there is a dot between My & Gov (not how it is officially); the official MyGov is shown as myGov on its official website; myGov has an Australian web address with a ".au"; myGov would never ask you to do a new ID; the linked website is NOT for myGov and if there was a problem processing a return, myGov would ask you to go through its authorised website and login to the Agency that your refund would apply to eg Medicare, ATO etc in order to access the Agency communication to you. Do not ever click on the attached link.
