Said she was from Telstra offering 40% off my bill

Caller: Claimed to be Telstra

called saying she was from Telstra offering 40% off bill due to outage. claiming they were Telstra and confirming my email address, Asked if I use the mobile Telstra app, and could i see the offer if I logged in to the app. I did, but there was nothing. I said, that's alright, I will log in later, and if Telstra are offering this discount, then great, I'm sure it will be there in my account. She assured me she was from Telstra, and gave their Sydney address, but I said, she could be anywhere in the world, and knowing an address or my email didn't confirm anything, and that's all they got from me. Interestingly, I rang the number back, and it did ring, instead of the usual this number doesn't exist, but no one answered, but I did get a call back from someone else, who I hung up on.

Kept insisting I give them my email address to confirm it’s me. Just thought hang on you rang me and why do I have to confirm it’s me to get a discount you said you are giving me

Called saying she was from Telstra offering 40% off bill due to outage . Definitely NOT Telstra as I called Telstra to check . Scam caller.
