Caller: Claiming to be Amazon

Sam claiming to be calling from Amazon to advise me that someone tried to purchase an iphone15 using my account. I told him that i couldnt see the order on my account and he then went on to say that it was being 'held' and that if it fraudulent then they would cancel the order. He then told me that he could fix this issue by blocking anyone who was using my account but he would have to log in through me. Alarm bells were already ringing, but i played along. he said he would send me a code via text message - i never received it . Sam wasnt happy with this and kept asking me if im sure i didnt receive it and that hes sent the message twice. i kept telling him i didnt have it. Then he was going to send a code to my email, so again I played along - mind you i never gave him any info, he did all the talking. Again he asked if the code came through & again i told him no.. he kept asking 'are you sure ma'am' & i kept saying i am sure - he wasnt happy and started to fumble a bit, so i just hung up and blocked the number... moral of the story - stick to your guns and dont answer any unknown numbers - if it is important they will leave a message
