Message received claiming someone was attempting to access ANZ bank and giving an internet link....Yeah, right!

Like others, I've gotten a text, claiming to be from the ANZ bank, stating that a certain Mr. J Walsh is going to be paid and providing a link for use if I need to cancel the transaction.
I don't bank with the ANZ, so I wasn't worried, anyone else out there who may be worried by such texts, best thing is to call your bank or visit a branch if convenient, and query the message to see if it's genuine.

This isn't how a bank would typically conduct business, it's scammers casting a multitude of lines in the water in the hope they get a few nibbles from people they can scam.
Always contact your bank first if in any doubt.

This number is a scam caller beware

SMS claiming to be from Australia Post saying package cannot be delivered due to incorrect address. Link provided to supposedly update address.

I received an SMS from the above number stating it's from MEDICARE: You came into direct contact with person who held the OMICRON variant. **WARNING** DO NOT CLICK ON THE LINK!! Book KIT at: https://medicare.gov.health-19.org/ (blocked on my laptop!)

Caller: SMS

SCAM SMS pretending to be ANZ bank notifying a payment instruction to so and so.

"ANZ: Mr. J Walsh will be paid as instructed on June 29, 2022. If you did not authorize this, cancel through anz.myid-au.com"

I don't use this bank, I've had texts from other numbers fishing for someone to scam as well. BLOCK!

Claimed to be Bendigo bank

Caller: Bendigo

Message purportedly from Bendigo indicating “your payment for <date> has been successfully arranged. If this was not you, cancel this payment via: <link>”

Very suspicious since I don’t bank with Bendigo.

Text message re Bendigo. Same as above comment. Wanting me to access a link. Yeah sure!!!! Stupid people

Had a text message from them claiming to be CBA saying “C0MM BANK- A new payee has been added to your address book and payment to 'Q ROGERS' if this wasn't you please amend “ with a link which I will assume is a scam

Just left a SMS:
CommBank: Your request for a new Overdraft was Successfully Approved. If you didn't apply for this, please review here: comm.au-group-review.com

Did not click the link. Very suspicious!

Message received saying from com bank someone trying to access my account with bpay payment to Fast motors with a link to stop payment.

Message recieved - Bendigo-A payment has been made $...... to a new payee, if this was not you contact -https:/bendigo-cancel.com/
Some people just think we are stupid
