Caller: Telstra NBN Scammer

A woman with an Indian accent called and said that they had been receiving errors from my computer and that someone from a different location had hacked my computer.
She asked if I was aware of that. I said that I was not and she stated that someone was using my computer to gamble online.

Since I knew it was a scam I played along. She asked me to go to my computer so she could "help" me. However, as soon as I said that I was already at my computer. Unfortunately the line went dead at that point and she did not call back.

Normally they tell you that you need to download a remote desktop application like (Teamviewer or anydesk). If they tell you to do this ignore them.
All they want to do get access to your computer to get your data or plant spyware. They will not get rid of any hackers.

Lie to them, play along but so not let them in your computer.
