Sent me a Google verification code? Almost immediately my phone rang from a number in Washington leaving a voicemail. Automated message stating nobody from Google would ask me for my verification code..........................

Not exactly spam, but it's annoying! Why should I be forced to give my phone number away just so I can see what my friends are posting? Isn't it enough that they know my email? Dodgy freaks!
