Caller: Reserve Super (allegedly) Caller had an Australian accent. Began with the claim that the government has named and shamed a number of Super (Annuation) Providers. (For underperformance and excessive fees. Think that claim is true).
Asked a few specific personal questions, presumably to confirm information about eligibility for a product or service (e.g. age range, income range).
Informed them that such information would not be imparted to a cold caller or on an unsolicited call, but asked whether they could send an email or provide a website for reference. At that point, they terminated the call.
ASIC search (for ‘Reserve Super’) provides no such business registration. Google search not hitting anything either.
Possible that they were trying to fill a lead sheet to on-sell, but regardless just don’t give cold callers anything, except perhaps a polite ‘No thank you. Goodbye’. Don’t confirm or query the information that they already have about you. You may be just giving them more of your voice patterns.
Our personal numbers are too public, so take precautions.
For instance, buy a $5 (per year) ALDI SIM (or similar), put it in a spare phone (preferrably a non-smartphone) and use that with your banking/financial institutions (only those). Never make calls with it. Never give it to anyone else.
If you are using cloud based email, do the same again for your email recovery phone number. Or turn off SMS and phone email account recovery options altogether, if you can use another method.

Superannuation type call, continually harass me from various numbers over a long period of time. Ask you personal questions to see if you 'qualify' but don't tell you what you are 'qualifying for' when asked. Block the number and do yourself a favour.

When I answered there was a recorded message saying 'noboby is available to take your call'. Bit strange since they called me and not the other way around. I smell scam. Number blocked.

Caller: Super comparison company The lady let me know there are major super companies on a name and shame list and asked if I wanted to check if mine was on there. I said I wasn't interested and thanked her for the call but she then went on to shame me for not accepting her selfless help and hung up on me. Aussie call centre.
