Scam calling claiming to be from ANZ bank and that someone was trying to use my credit card to pay money to a tech company and they had put a pause on the transaction, wanting me to download an app that would prove they were from the bank??? Didn’t use my name which the bank would as I have experience of a previous card used overseas after using EBay. The bank would stop it not pause it and only one person deals with you not two. They both kept telling me not to give them any private information and when I refused to do as they asked as I couldn’t verify who they were, they got nasty trying to scare me, telling me that they would mark it as me refusing and let it go through and if I lost money the bank wouldn’t repay me which again is untrue, BEWARE.
