Claimed to be from Telstra NBN, who I'm not with. As soon as they said this I replied, no you're not you are a criminal and you're just trying to rob me and hung up, so I didn't listen to the whole spiel, but I've been getting calls like this from Philipines call centres lately. Usually it's a recorded message but this one had the human placing the call. I'm guessing it's someone who actually works at a real call centre, mis-using their equipment to run a side-hustle.
The public really demands Australian companies stop doing this outsourcing of call center services to India and the Philipines. A large portion of the call scammers charged turn out to be involved with them. Time to organise a boycott of companies doing this
