I have a lot of information on him which I cannot advertise. It is a matter of when, not if his past catches up with him. It will be good when tilers become registered as some people will be banned from the trade.

My friend and I were also victims of the famous Fabio Spano.
He came took over $5000 deposit from us both and then proceeded to delay the beginning of the tiling at both addresses.
The money was paid on the 19th of July and we gave up on him on 4th of September.
We have since been in touch with the police, ACC and consumer affairs .
We came along this sight and are blown away at the number of people defrauded by Fabio Spano.
Let's hope the law catches up with sooner rather than later.
We wish we knew about this site prior to transferring our funds.

Asked the money up front, which was paid. He never completed the job. Still trying to get our money back

Fabio has owed us the balance of money for some time.
Unfortunately he does not have an ACN and I can't lodge the claim with VCAT.

I made the mistake of paying the balance owing for the job in good faith.
He never came back to finish the job. The grout used is not epoxy as agreed and the grout is falling through the joins in the tiles. I have a determination against Fabio Spano from VCAT to recover costs to rectify his job. Seems I am not the only one to be let down. I am a believer in Karma, What goes around, comes around.

THANK YOU to the SHERIFFS DEPT Melbourne! Fabio Spano is a con artist. Same story as above. I paid my deposit for bathroom reno (if you pay your deposit he can start next week!!!) and he took months to start the job, did 3 hours of work and was never seen again. He said he would pay back some of my deposit and it was one excuse after another when the scheduled payment was not forthcoming (im going through a divorce / my ex-wife has taken all my money / Im waiting for a loan to be approved / Ill pay in full next week ....) I eventually got a court order for the Sheriff to seize assets. They found him at the address I provided and he paid cash on the spot! Forwarding details to A Current Affair for greater exposure of this con man!
