Caller: Some Consulting Firm

He telephoned at 5:46pm on Friday night a guy with Indian accent, young, very, very busy background noise, telephoned asked if he was speaking with X? He asked this a few times as I never replied. I just kept asking him what’s your Name, over and over - he would not tell me. So, I asked him was he in a Pub as it was very, very noisy where he was, so I kept making the excuses of, ‘Sorry, what?’ a number of times. He eventually says, ‘No, I’m in a Call Centre and it can be very noisy.’
I asked him again who he was and why he was calling? Again, he asked if he was speaking with X? Again, I never replied and just asked him who he was and what Company he worked for? He replied, ‘Sun/Some/Soon Consulting’ I made him repeat it 3 times as I still could not hear exactly what the name of the Company was. I kept pressing on it. He finally tells me, ‘It’s a Consulting Firm have I heard of them? I replied who, what type of consulting? He says, ‘Wait a minute,’ and directly hung up on me. I immediately took screen-shots and Blocked this number and then looked this number up via the Internet Search. Usually, the numbers come up, as there are so many reviews from people. But this one did not - so it is obviously a new Spam/ Scam. He only got 45seconds of my time.
Remember: If you don’t know the number, answer or don’t answer, but never confirm any of your details or who you are to them - just keep asking them questions, they don’t like it, cut them off mid conversation too, they don’t like this either, as it takes them off the script they’re reading from and they will soon hang up. Take screen-shots, block them and keep a file of all these types of calls.
