I didn't know the number and I'm not sure why I received the text. It was so random, out of the blue that I immediately knew it was a scam so I looked up the number to confirm my suspicions. Blocked it after reading the messages. Thanks guys.

Don’t know why everyone is saying it’s a scam. I downloaded the Uber app I put my phone number in. I immediately got the code to verify. Those people who haven’t signed up probably got a SMS because some random put your phone number in

Fake Uber codes daily, trying to scam something like free rides

Suspect it is some sort of spam / scam. Received a few of these texts the last two weeks.

Text message saying Uber code: ####. I don't use Uber and blocked immediately.

I received 1 immediately blocked it. Same as some closest uber 500km

Uber code verification supposedly. I don’t even use Uber. Sent to me at 3am. Spam. Dont reply.
