An automated man's voice told me my tax file number had been suspended under suspicion of illegal activity and to press 1 on the keypad to let the courthouse know something. I didn't hear it properly and I had just woken up so I wasn't thinking straight, so like an idiot, I pressed 1 and immediately regretted it when the caller hung up and wouldn't pick up calls again. Got a message on my phone that looked like it was from my system saying 'thanks for your confirmation' as soon as I pressed 1 and they hung up. Expecting to have my phone number put on more scammers' call lists at best, expecting to have my bank accounts emptied at worst 😒😒
