Sent SMS verification code twice

got a verification code sent to me during the early hours of the morning

Caller: 0447 372 742

Received 2 unexpected SMS verification codes around 1 am

Sent me a text message stating... Your verification code is: 123123
I was asleep at the time l supposedly requested it...

Received message saying this should be entered for a verification code which I’m not expecting!

Verification code unsolicited. Blacked and deleted

Beware Scam

Wow you guys literally have no idea hey, i suppose the government does not say anything as to why 2fa codes come through to your mobile number. (what your mobile number) yes thats correct means someone is trying to log into your accounts, not a scammer trying to fraud you or be silly, its actual people trying to log into your accounts bank google etc....

Received Verification code at 5am Friday 14 October. I had not been online or trying to access anything. I believe this was to do with AHM Cyber Attack.

Received eleven veification codes at 2.30am. Suspect someone was trying to hack one of my accounts.

Sent me a text message at 7am with a verification code that I had not requested.

Two unrequested verification codes.

Three text messages with verification codes at around 1am on the 13th of Oct 2022

Sent 2 x verification codes at 6.52am I did not request such codes. Scam alert!!!!!

Verification code I never asked for??? I blocked this number.

Received a verification code early hours of the morning. No idea other than a scam.

Verification code.
Suspicious if someone tried to get into my account that is verification code protected. I have multiple protected that way.
It could be a legitimate verification code accidentally requested by someone else and I would like to know which provider that was.
Or it could be just a hoax, but what for, no gain.

I also received a verification code on this number early today whilst asleep. My guess is someone is working through a list of hacked personal information trying to find someone without two factor authentication turned on for a password change. Be nice to know what account that they are trying to break into, but many companies don’t identify themselves when they send two factor identification in response to a password change request.
