Flood warning. Legit, but the message was vague. I might believe I could call that number to ask for SES help, and I might be wrong.

Pointless "emergency" messages and calls... Latest we got was to basically tell us it's hot. No crap, captain obvious!
Another stupid message we got a while back was to tell us to keep an eye out for a missing old man... No further information. Seems we were meant to call 000 if we spotted the elderly.

Boy who cried wolf. I blocked them on my phone.

Got a text from this number. Saying there had been severe weather and power was out. Then another one saying there was a meeting after a mini tornado hit. It was exactly correct. And the number they provided was the visitor information centre here

Had a call from this number the other night at 10.20pm. It said, the is an emergency in your area, check your local check you local emergency web site for further information, do not call 000. I checked the VicEmercency website. Absolutely nothing in my area. Thanks for waking me up for nothing.
If this is a fair dinkum site at least get it right.

THIS IS A U.S.A. CIA STUNT TO GET YOU TO PROVIDE A 'SOUND PRINT' (VOICE PRINT) TO INSERT INTO THEIR SURVEY - DATA BASE - MACHINE . IT WILL THEN BE ANALYZED AND SENT TO THE MAIN MEMORY STORAGE AREA FOR FUTURE USES . USEFUL TO IDENTIFY ACTIVITIES IN THAT AREA . YOU MUST HAVE DONE SOMETHING TO ATTRACT THEIR ATTENTION !! . WATCH IT FELLA !!. (Sound Print - REALLY !!. No kidding)

Emergency Services. We received a text warning us to evacuate or find safety due to a fire in our local area. There was a fire, and there was a real threat. Legitimate.
