Number located in Penrith and claimed to be from Gold Coast emergency services and claimed that there were severe thunderstorms in my area and to click links for more info. It's sunny here and nothing on the rain radar. Obvious scammer.

I got this pathetic text message to show up in Sydney NSW to look for a missing person. So what, I actually live in Newcastle NSW so what would be the point of going all that waste of money, time and effort for me that doesn't drive a car and don't have a licence to go with. And second of all I don't care to go outside my town for some idiot that is supposed to be a grown up, and can look after themselves. So cops seriously GET a LIFE. My elderly 98 year old father unable to walk got a threatening bunch of texts to go outside of our town last year and it turned out that this idiot mother didn't think to call a neighbour 2 doors down, where her pathetic son was. Shame on her and the COPS here. My nursing home went into a lockdown for 3 weeks because of this idiot mother. They even threatened the dementia patients as well, shame on you COPS. I hope you can live with yourselves. I know I couldn't if I did something like that to dementia and Alzheimer's people and in the nursing home their is 80 in total. COPS live with your guilty conscience.

It looked legit and the missing bloke was driving a car with local plates only an hour or two from where I live…BUT the point is the link was for twitter and they are riddled with scams like all the socials so not going there hey?
The cops want to reach far and wide so doing their best to get the message out so do it without my help unless I see it on the local news. More scams than ever after the plandemic!

All your comments above are right but you don't need to even click on the link if you are not sure if its a scam. Just read the message. It could be your friend or child one day that goes missing.

I'm getting rid of my phone because of this.

Geolocation based SMS. Privacy is dead and now, so is my phone number.

Moving to another country soon.
I don't give a sh*t if it is an emergency service, my privacy is my right.

So, ummm, where's tne science? I mean nobody has published anything ever about having isolated sars-cov-2 from a human. Ever. In fact NSW Supreme Court violated its own rules and didn't permit discovery when faced with the issue. The funny wig man said "no rule of law here, don't you dare mention the Constitution".
You've never seen any proof of isolation either, yet you believe. That's called "religion", a cult.
