Used Minidiggers to demolish our house, and while the job was satisfactory they didn't start the job when indicated and there was a bit of a delay. When the end bill came in they had added additional costs regarding removal of fencing at over 10% of the original quote. These costs were never disclosed and weren't included in the original quote and never discussed during the job, it was only when the end bill came in that I was aware of them even though there were numerous discussions regarding fencing on site and via telephone never was an additional cost mentioned.

I then spoke to both Jason and Terena about this new additional costs and I whilst I felt no obligation to pay the additional costs I offered to pay half the additional costs as a compromise. The response was a very aggressive response and a threat to dump the fencing on the property if I refused to pay the whole amount. They accepted no fault regarding the additional costs even though they acknowledged they had not been quoted for or discussed at all during the job. They were not willing to compromise in any way. Whilst the job done was satisfactory the response and lack of compromise was a huge disappointment given I was not in the wrong.

Overall very disappointing.
