Once you have instructed someone to contact your solicitor they are legally bound to do so. You can report this to the Legal Services Commissioner or have your solicitor do so. Also, when they call, ask them to provide adequate evidence that what they claim is true. Ask for proof of ownership of the photo, of the object so photographed and if they have permission from the owner of the photographed object to sell this. Getty Images has been know to sell Facebook downloaded images for their own profit.

Beware - Getty Images out to get you!

Getty Images are on a money making scheme where they see if anyone has used their images and the send them an extortion letter demanding between $600 to $1000 per image used. As i have passed this on to my solicitor they are trying to hassle me bypassing my legal representative and offering 'discounts' if i just pay the price.

As i had given the file to my Legal Representative who instructed them to respond to him, and as they continued to hassle me, i blocked their usual number. Now they are using various company phones to by pass the block.

I do not know what the legal ramifications are when a solicitor has contacted a company and asked them to go through him and this company ignores this to continue to hassle the victim.

So beware of this number!
