I received a text a short while ago saying, "This is a message from Wallis Social Research about a survey on behalf of the Australian Electoral Commission. This survey https://wsres.au/1bCamuA is about voting in the upcoming referendum and takes 15 min. For more info: www.wallis.social/projects/aecreferendum Unsubscribe: https://wsres.au/1FsrOpL

It would seem as though Wallis Social Research is a legitimate company. The thing is, this mobile number is the same as the number of the scammer from February mentioned on this page, which looks really dodgy. In addition, there is a Melbourne landline listed on reverseaustralia.com that is also apparently Wallis Social, and has proper calls as well as scam calls or immediate hang-ups. So the result is that, even if it IS legitimate, I'm not going to go near it. C'est la vie.

I also received a text pretending to be from Wallis Social Research asking me to do a 20 minute survey about the upcoming referendum. Am assuming it is fake and a physhing scam, as it wanted me to click on a link within a text, which I now understand I should never ever do. Red flag. Beware.

Caller: scam

Male person stated he was from SecureBank and that he wanted to confirm I made an overseas payment of four hundred and something dollars. I stated, "you are a scammer, do not call this number again." He stated ok and hung up.
