Caller: Scammers claiming to be telstra

Got a call from Scammers Claiming to be from Telstra and offering discount on services, they claim they need a 6 Digit verification code they send after confirming your email address, sms recieved from email client containing 6 digit code is what these scammers seem to be after to gain access/ control of your email address, I’d flag this as highly dangerous.

Caller: Claiming to be Telstra

Scammer with an Indian accent claiming to be from Telstra offering 50% off my Telstra bills. She told me she was a verified Telstra employee and gave me her employee ID. Said I don't need to do anything but to read out a 6 Digit verification code they SMS me. I asked her to wait while I looked into it because I had been dealing with Telstra two weeks before and I knew they send a verification code through the app. She was very persistent and didn't not want to wait while I checked them out, so she hung up on me when I said this was suspicious.

Caller: Scammer

Received a call from this number claiming to be from Telstra. Said they could upgrade my phone plan for 12 months, halving the cost . Sent me a text msg that had no number but appears as Telstra to try to show me they were legit. Even appeared under the same msg history from Telstra regarding bill reminders etc. Said they would send me my Microsoft account password code and to activate the deal all I would have to do was read the code. Asked them why on earth they would need my Microsoft code. Told them it obviously sounded like a scam and I would never proceed with an offer unless I had directly called the telstra number myself. Rang Telstra to report the scam. They confirmed no such deal and advised that they would never ask for Microsoft password codes. Do not hand over any personal information to these people.

Called three times in quick succession around 4pm. I did not answer and no message left.
