Called me out of the blue saying I had a netflix verification code. thing is, I didn't order netflix. Called the number. Said it was disconnected. Scam?

Caller: 'netflix'

I got a text message from this number saying my payment was due. That was true and I had a new card BECAUSE I HAD BEEN HACKED THE MONTH BEFORE. So, I explained all of this to the person who said, oh yes, terrible, I will send you a code. He sent the code...and it came from this number, same one that came from the text! I said, hmm, that's funny. He said I will send you an email to reset your password....I didn't do this. So I contacted Netflix (I think!) and they said we don't text. I was still unconvinced and they gave me my account information, BUT I stopped my card just in case, well three times in the last 15 minutes a transaction of $0.00 was declined on my card...I am going to use PayPal I think...

Received a text message stating that they are from Netflex waiting to update my payment plan. Contacted Netflex and the stated it is a scam.

Scam especially since I have never had Netflix.

received 'netflix code' but never requested one. phishing for sure.

I had the text come through 4 times one after the other have reported number as spam,

I’ve been signed up for 18mtgs and no one known to me was trying to access the account. I call scam. I haven’t responded.
