Yes, today (Wed.Dec 2, 2020, at 9.01am) I got a call from an almost identical MOBILE number, 0436 406 501, with a very aggressive and hostile sounding male voice (Australian accent), and which sounded like it was a recording, claiming to be on behalf of the ATO, telling me (if I'm remembering correct) that my Business Number was being cancelled, and, supposedly, warning me me of my imminent arrest for my non response to court actions and directions. Right at that point where 'The voice' was directing me to press 1 to talk to a Government Officer, I was thinking, "WTF?!"...and I hung up also. I'd broken my usual protocol of not initially answering unknown numbers because I'd only 30 or 40 seconds precipitating hung up from talking to the Cardiac Clinic about a scheduled review appointment, and I thought it might have been somebody from their desk ringing with additional important info or something. I am feeling pretty sure it is a scam:...
Firstly: You DO NOT talk to me in that aggressive and hostile tone (like he had just finally located Ivan Milat or Brendon Abbott) for too long before you suddenly get a few front teeth loosened.
Secondky: I don't think that the ATO has a customer relations protocol of approaching and talking to people in that manner (if they do, their dentists, and orthodontists must be very busy).
Thirdly: If there had been any court actions (and /or subsequent actions and directions) I suspect I would've been made aware of such much earlier, not just by phone or text, but by mail, or email, or even bailiff to the door.
Fourthly: my Business number has already been cancelled a few years back now.
Yep a total scam and hoax, jyst like the so-called Covid-19 'Pandemic'.

Recorded message claiming to be the ATO whereby my arrest was imminent because of my non response to Court actions against me.
Told to press Option 1 to speak with a Government Officer regarding a number of issues.
At this point I hung up!
