Caller: Overseas bank scammer Just had an obvious offshore call come from a mobile number call me saying he was from cyber security of commonwealth bank And there has been a hack on my account for many thousands of dollars
I kept him on phone with questions about could it be Russians What can I do to protect myself and how greatful I was that he was helping me. While I looked for my details
At the end of the call I said I was very greatful he was alerting me to this issue and I have only one concern
He said “what is that?’
I said ‘I have never had an account with commonwealth bank in my life.’
He hung up
