Received a text message saying:- "Mum I'm texting off a friends phone can you message me on WhatsApp on 0485 838 325 it is urgent I need to talk to you."
I think most people are now aware this is a serious ongoing scam, but for those that don't, DO NOT REPLY, it is someone pretending to be your son/daughter, they will ask you to transfer money to a friends account saying that they have lost/stolen their mobile phone and need money urgently to get a new one and/or for expenses as their atm card/credit card is also lost/stolen.
