Scam Alert

Call supposedly from NBN regarding our connectivity. Didn't speak immediately as the auto-dialler was too fast, poor reception. We have NBN already with Telstra and no connectivity issues...Didn't ring back when I hung up, so definitely not legitimate

Same scam - Olivia Ryan - gumtree, what's app, "I give you link to receive funds and a payment receipt, you enter your bank card and receive funds to your account"

I posted an item on Gum Tree and was contacted through Whats App saying if item still available and they will organise a courier to collect it from Melbourne. Then ask you to download a link to put my details in. Definetly a scam,.

Glad I googled the number. The very beautiful Olivia Ryan msg me via what’sapp wanting to buy my item…. I might play along with her for a while. 🤦‍♂️

Same as above, wanting to buy my washing machine but wanted courier to pick it up even after I offered delivery. Messaged me on WhatsApp.

Scam alert. Wanted to buy an item from Gumtree. Claimed he couldn't pick up but a courier would collect and I needed to fill in a form and provide my bank card details. Etc......
No way.

Wanted to buy my laptop off gumtree. Is 100% a scam. Do not click any links they send you.

This number contacted me about an item I have for sale on gumtree. I believe it's a scam related to trying to get you to provide details to a bogus "courier service".

Gumtree/ WhatsApp Scam.
I received messages via WhatsApp for an ad I posted on Gumtree. There was no communication from Gumtree and they advised they will send payment through that platform and subsequently sent me a link to click to collect my money.
I didn't click the link, this service has been reported as a scam by ACMA.
