They say they are from Do Not Call Registry - they are foreign accent and could be using details from phone book listing. Do not give them any information. The Do not Call Registry does not cost you any money. End the call with them or simply don't answer them

nuisance scammers

said they were from the "do not call register" which isn't true so I hung up. I am already registered through the Australian Government so I don't know how these calls still get through!

On 05 July Female claiming to be from Do Not Call Register Office, but failed to identify herself. Caller asked if we had nuisance/scam calls on our telephone number. When caller was asked to identify herself, again claimed from DNC. Asked Caller if this was another scam call. Female then stated she was wasting her time and hung up.
On 07 July Same number calling. After acknowledging call, noisy back ground and then hung up.

Number has been calling all day with no one on line. Simply feed up

Gave the guy what for. Has now been ringing me back and harassing me.

Just hangs up after a few seconds, says nothing.

He wanted to know if we were still being called by marketing callers. He had my name and address. Then wanted to know about my visa card. Told him he was full of cap. He then said the call was recorded and I was under protection from Australia government legislation. Told him not to call again. Indian accent.

Rang my home phone claiming to be from the Do Not Call Register and wanted me to verify my identity information with them so I will no longer get calls from telemarketers !!! SCAM!!!

Rang and let call go to answering machine. Didn't leave a message.

Some Asian sounding woman wanted expiry date of my credit card. Said she was from call blocking department at Telstra. I hung up.
