pretends to be from Optus and says my account has been put on hold and I will be fined if I don't pay.

A scam text came though in early hours of the morning after I had another discussion with Optus about an ongoing official complaint on my behalf, with the Telecomm Ombudsman here. I had called about a physical cable that was laying across the road and needed to be fixed. Several days went by and Optus did nothing to fix it and indeed they tried to sell both me and my partner a new phone and phone plan. This morning's very early text says I need to pay my account or I will be fined and my account is put on hold. My account is most definitely not in " the red" - thinking there is an Optus worker who has had their work questioned and is now trying to scam me as a side business! Mmmm!
