Caller: “Big brothers Big sisters Australia”

A lovely person who knew my name stated they were calling from Big Brothers Big Sisters Australia because I had bought a raffle ticket from them last year. Apparently they are running a new raffle for past donors to help kids get access to mental health supports - a great cause. Only issue is I didn’t buy a raffle ticket from this org, the lady was a little pushy and wanted me to purchase a raffle ticket. They mentioned they are sponsored by NAB. I declined and said I would do some research and possibly donate via their website. Looking at their website I don’t see anything about the mental health raffle, or any raffle for that matter. NAB are not included in the list of sponsors either. Not sure if it was a scam, but it’s better to be safe than sorry. Don’t give your details to a cold caller! Donate to charities via their official websites so you know where your $ is going.
