Woman claiming to be from Westpac Bank saying my account had been accessed and had I authorised a transaction for $1100.00? This person wanted me to go to Google play store and download software to stop people accessing my account. I refused to do this as I suspected it was a scam, I said I would call Westpac later and sort it out as I wasn't home at the moment. Woman insisted she call me back and wanted me to name a convenient time. I refused her request and she hung up. I called Westpac on the official Westpac phone number. Westpac informed me that no-one had tried to contact me and my accounts were fine. Westpac advised me to block this number.

This was obviously a phishing phone call to get me to down load software so that my accounts could be accessed and taken over by a third party.
