It is legitimately from Petbarn. Received a text message with a link for a coupon code. Rather than click on link I copied and pasted it to the web browser and it took me to the Petbarn site.

Spam SMS message supposedly from Pet Barn with a dodgy link to get a discount.

Caller: Scammer pretending to be petbarn

Um, no! Copying and pasting into your browser is the same as touching the link. It's definitely a scammer installing software as soon as you touch the close button- which doesn't work and that forces you then to reboot your phone which loads the malware into your phone. Very nasty and clever. Don't touch it! Businesses wouldn't use a +61 mobile number to send legitimate messages. It's a nasty SCAMMER!

Left a text telling me that due to the warm winter,, Greencross Vets are noticing an increase in tick infestations. I call bullsh*t. I don’t know which area of Australia they are targeting, but we don’t have ticks here in SA..On the off chance a dog did get one from a dog which has been interstate, a tick can easily and safely be dealt with. We don’t need another “preventative”poison to administer to our dogs.

Done the number lookup. I was going to reply wrong number until I seen this number has been linked to scams

Looked real, I signed up to their membership so I thought it was legitimate. Luckily I didnt open the link

It is not Petbarn it's a Chinese scammer using Petbarns phone number don't be fooled don't go in links

Got a message from this number saying comm bank they were taking 560 from account if u get any messages call the actual company and do not click on any links

The link itself is to a dodgy website that LOOKS like petbarn. Copying and pasting is for emails not SMS

It's a scammer using pet barns phone number and computer page do not be sucked in I did not have a $30 voucher for pet barns to redeem scam
