Caller: Fake Telstra Called me off a mobile number, saying she (with a thick ass accent) was from Telstra's billing team, and calling to let me know that being a long time user I was to receive a 50% discount on my bills for the next 6 months. Now i just f*cked around. I said that was interesting as last month I got an email saying that as of June 2nd my bill would go from $50 to $65 a month for my current plan, I paid my bill on Monday, and they wait till AFTER I pay my bill to offer me a 50% discount, which was REALLY sh*tty of you guys. I would like my next 6 months free since I just paid for 5 months if they are halving my bill price. She said that was acceptable and she'd be happy to help, so I toyed a bit more :) I asked why she was calling off a mobile from Telstra, as usually it pops up as TELSTRA when they ring. She said its raining a lot in NSW and the phones are down. Points for creativity. Asked her what information she'd need from me to get this 'credited bill' on my account, cut her off the moment she started speaking, apologised that I had missed her name at the start of the call, got some jumble of Indian.
Then asked her what MY name was.
...
She hung up.
