Caller: claimed to be South East Water Not sure if this was legit or a phishing scam - have sent in report to South East Water (Melbourne) to check. Received series of SMS regarding emergency water works nearby, one of which had a link which purported to be the South East Water live map which shows faults/works underway. I checked with the official phone number and live map link, and the details in the SMS did correspond to an actual fault nearby. However, you'd usually expect SMS from a utility company to show sender as company name, not some random mobile number, plus the web address in the link was not the same as the one when you go to the live map directly from their website, so it's hard to tell if it's really from South East water or if it's actually a scammer taking advantage of genuine information.
