I was looking for a MacBook Pro and she offered me a very good condition 2012 retina 15”. They are $600+ the condition and specs she offered. She said $300 or 150 now, 100 once I receive the product and 50 when I can. She is a scammer after saying she lived in Mildura and typing messages in such quick times she was copying and pasting. Made sure I didn’t buy it after reading this. Scammer (Louisa Williams) DONT BUY ANYTHING FROM HER!

Lousia Williams contacted me through gumtree after seeing my wanted ad for a PS4.

She asked for a mobile number to send photos through to and then she wouldn't except paypal as payment method for this so called 'deposit'

I then paid her via bank transfer and she provided me with a fake tracking number - contacted auspost which then told me that the number had 13 complaints relating to it.

DO NOT SELL OR GIVE MONEY TO LOUISA WILLIAMS

Do not buy nothing off her. Tried scamming me on gumtree. Item I was after was $750 and she said to deposit $200 then pay the rest when you receive it at the post office. Claimed she lived in Mildura. Lucky I googled her number before I sent over money. Claims her name is Jess on gumtree but ask you to send me to Louisa Williams. SCAMMER BIG TIME

I was recently just scammed too, did you do it?

She used the same trick and my WANT ad on gumtree was about Iphone X, and she scammed me too.

I transferred a deposit with $250, and then I just realized a scam after checking this website. And them I warned her, she immediately makes a deposit back to my account and caps screen to send me.

I was scammed by her , only 15 and she was selling an iphone xs max and acted like she didn’t want to be scammed. she sent me pics and confirmation and asked for a deposit which i did! was sent an email regarding postage then my number was blocked

that stupid bitch scammed me. taking it up with the police now !! scammed me and i payed her $210.... not cool

Has anyone reported this to police? I’ve been scammed by them and want to take action, can anyone help me out?

I placed wanted ad on Gumtree for 2 x IPhone 7 handsets this is what I got -

Hey I saw your gumtree ad. My brother and I are selling our iPhone 7 Plus’. Both are 128GB and in perfect condition. $500 for both sounds good ☺️

I said -

Yes, where are you located ?

Scammer said -

We’re near Geraldton so I was going to suggest postage? I can do express so you’d get them tomorrow and I’ll give you the tracking number etc.
I know you can’t pay upfront and my mum won’t let me send it without the confirmation that I’ll get paid after you receive them, so I was wondering if you’d be able to do like a deposit? If it’s $500 in total, I was thinking maybe $250 now and $250 when you get them? 🙏🏼

Yes, scammed me with age old deposit trick, following up a Wanted Ad.
That’s alright have something a little special lined up my end.

Yes, I too was scammed! Asked for a deposit, I obliged and have lost $50.
Don’t trust. Lesson learnt....

This girl claimed to live in Coffs Habour. She claimed had an item for sale for 250 and the threatened if the payment didn’t come she knew people in Mount Druitt who will come and get me.
Do NOT trust her.

Scammer. Will message you asking for a bank deposit. Supposedly lives in “Coffs Harbour”, before replying I looked up the number and found out he/she is a scammer. Managed to make him/her sh*t themselves after I threatened them with the police :) justice.

ALMOST scammed us. I live in Tweed and was looking for an iphone 8+ so put an add up on gum tree. She messaged me and sent me photos of one, saying she lived in Coffs and would post the phone to me in Tweed, trying to gain my trust by saying she’d give me the tracking number, and tried to organise a deposit. I was in Coffs Harbour, so i said i could meet her at her house anyway because i was there for the weekend to save the hastle of mailing it. She sent me an address and once i got there, said she couldn’t see me and then stopped messaging me. I was lucky to not have been scammed, but PLEASE watch out.
