Scam - saying they are from a government department

This is a scam... They claim to be from government - reclaim dept. Stating bank has overcharged you and they have refund for you. They want to verify details , including which bank you use. Date of birth etc . They give a reference number , contact name and a phone number you must call back immediately.

Calls but won't speak. Try to return call and says invalid number....

Had a call from this number hung up when i answered, probably automated call and so a scam.

A foreign sounding voice said he was from the reclaims department and wanted to give me & $7000.
I told him to F*** Off

State they are from an Aus government department saying I'm owed money. Said fine send in a cheques. Government has my address lol and yes they had it too. Correct to the postcode. Could I confirm my DOB and I said no government would have that too. Then could I confirm EAR of birth lol ear I say. Ear of what lol? No ear but day is 22nd beep beep beep lol

Called 4 times today but they wont speak. Rang the number but Telstra says its no a valid number

Just received a call now. Same as others - government "reclaim department". Obvious phishing call.

A woman with a foreign accent knew my surname and said she was calling from Australian AFP - I asked if this was a scam call and she hung up.

They ring everyday and just don`t speak but hang up - don`t leave messages!
When the number is rang, Telstra automated calls comes on and says it is an Invalid Service!!
