Caller: Allegedly Commonwealth Bank Security

Caller with indian accent calling from noisy call centre. He identified himself Adam and was allegedly calling from Commonwealth Bank Security. Advised that there was a suspicious $800 transfer to an American account for John Smith. Oh no, not again! I get at least 3 of these calls per week and regardless of the bank, it is always John Smith in USA. Adam proceeded to advise the account is in California and asked if I had conducted this transaction. I advised no. He asked if Family or friends have access to my account. I advised No. He asked if I wanted to cancel this transaction. I answered yes. He asked when was the last time I used this account. I replied 35 years ago as I don't bank with Commonwealth and the phone went dead. Note: there was no attempt to verify my identity up to this point and I know all AUS companies conduct 3 point verification before they will discuss any transactions. My name was not used by the caller at all, I was Sir when he referenced me. DO NOT give these scammers any personal information. They are trying access your accounts to steal your money.
