Caller: Supposed to be the NBN Called me 28/03/2022. Saying they were from the NBN and needed to inform me that my internet is being hacked into. The caller wanted to know what devices I had connected, she then asked what computer I use and what browser. I fudged this by saying a Toshiba laptop running windows 10. I also said I was using Edge as my browser. I actually use TOR Browser it has a built in VPN and is free. After following her instructions she insisted that someone in the US was stealing my NBN. The Tor Browser had masked my IP address and placed me in the US. I said I do not know anyone in the US, she tried to reinforce the clearly BS line that my NBN was being stolen and she could give me the names and addresses of the supposed masked bandits. The final pitch was pretty forceful, I needed to go to a special website and download a program that would allow them to ensure my internet is not being stolen. At this point the fun of taunting this person had worn off, so I forcefully suggested that she was full of BOVINE EXCRETA (Bull sh*t) Her final comment was you must take this seriously and hung up. I did suggest to her that I should contact my ISP she tried to reinforce she was the NBN.
