Received a call from Lucy Stewart stating that the publishers just called and that my advertisement was in the booklet and that I now needed to pay. The invoice even states right at the top: "THIS IS NOT A BILL. YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO PAY ANY MONEY" Dodgy!

Called me to tell me I’d placed an ad that I never did - same deal as everyone else - sent me an invoice to pay. I never requested or agreed to this. Can’t give me clarity of the original phone conversation I had where I apparently agreed to this? After getting stern with Sam (after 3 phone calls from her in the same day) and pointing out a number of other people who have had similar phone calls, I have heard nothing more.
People trying to get money - ignore and block.

Caller: Statewise

I blocked the mobile number and now they are calling from a private number. We did a donation for the SES and they ran an advertisement in their newsletter for us, and these people have found our phone nunbers through that. They are saying we also agreed to run ad's with them. The lady is rude, dismissive and PERSISTENT as all heck. She won't put anything in writing, won't send an email with an invoice. Just wants credit card payment over the phone. Bad bad bad people.

Caller: Sharon White from Firefighters Relief Journal

Same as everyone else, I was contacted by Sharon today saying they were about to send out the Firefighters Relief Journal that contains my ad and offering a $110 discount if I paid for the ad now. Apparently I spoke to someone called Susie Willis back in December & agreed to it. I queried where was the email I approved & she said they don't send out anything as they trust us to pay! I don't recall speaking to anyone, and I would certainly have wanted a proof of the ad to approve before they run it & before I paid for it. I've blocked her number. Not interested in playing their games. Beware!

Received a call from fire fighters journal saying I needed to pay my subscription never agreed to such a journal,the caller cannot remember name was hard sell you must pay ,told her that I would report the call,quickly hung up

Caller: Sandra yesterday and John Daly today

Sandra said I agreed to placing an advertisement into the Firefighters Relief Journal in late May 2022, and I did not remember agreeing to it, nor have I found any correspondence. She sent me an invoice yesterday for $425.00.
John Daly rang me today following up for the payment. I have not tried calling him back, but the number was: 0435 824 544. Thank you to all those who have written these complaints, as it confirmed what I thought.

Caller: Sam Ryan

Sam Ryan called me regarding an ad I didn't place for THE FIREFIGHTERS RELIEF JOURNAL. Sam said I ordered it in November, which I don't recall. She then said I could pay on the phone and get a discount. Shen then emailed me an invoice which says THIS IS NOT A BILL. YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO PAY ANY MONEY.
I have emailed back that I didn't order and that I have no intention to pay.
Looks like the scan through other journals you have advertised in and try invoicing you hoping you will pay.
This is a scam.

Caller: Statewise Emergency Services Publishing House

Had a call from a lady who works in "accounts" saying that I signed up for a publication back in Novemeber. Clever scam to con forgetful business owners into the idea they have missed an invoice. Discount if you pay now, all that jazz. Complete scam

From Vodaphone a scam relating to children’s charity and an add for my business and they invoice for subsequent years - a scam

Told me it was the accounts department and was offering me a $100 discount if I paid today for an add in their magazine which I had never heard of and never asked for when I asked to see their web site she told me she would email me all the details which of couse never happened

I called back the number 0424 902 847 and spoke with a lady that said I reached Statewise Emergency Services

Statewise Emergency Services sent us the invoice for the advertisement we didnt even requested.
I dont know how they can do this type of Scams?
