The old scam about an eBay purchase that was never made. Why is it that when certain areas go into lockdown the scammers start

My phone tells me in red that this number is a fraud. Don't engage!

Caller: Fake eBay

Called about an eBay account payment being debited from credit card. Don't have eBay or a credit card. Good luck with that scammer 😁😁

I just received a call as potential scam

Phone rings once, they hang up, no message. Happened twice

Caller: Scammer pretending to be eBay

Got a robo message saying I had just been charged for something on eBay. "Press 1 if you didn't make this transaction". Taken to an Indian(?) lady named "Anna". She started telling me that her system had identified a transaction made on my credit card. I asked how she knew who "I" was and she hung up. Another scam where they rely on you assuming they have your details, when in fact that's the information they're trying to get from you - that and access to your computer.
