This was a response I received from QLD police in response to alias Sara Harris (RE above) :

Initial searches conducted by the QPS have established that the owner of the bank account the funds were deposited into resides interstate. Your report has been re-referred for investigation to the Victorian Police Service.

Please be aware that Police are unable to recover money for you. Criminal law is not about recovering money, that is the aim of civil law.



Your report will be kept for intelligence gathering purposes. By submitting your report you are providing an accurate picture of the online environment. Every report is important for building this picture, which will be used to direct police investigations, and most significantly guide the development of new strategies to prevent crime and limit undesirable behaviour.
