Answered to get a recorded message stating that there was an issue with my tax file number so I hung up.

Caller: Scammer Hi Kim, I called this number back. The caller was too scared to answer. They SMSd me "who is this". I explained that I'm a senior officer with the ATO and that they've been traced and have committed highly fraudulent behaviour. They have admitted to "having a joke". I explained that Fraud isn't a Joke! Now the caller is acting stupid.

Caller: Scammer Scumbag Hi Kim - I got the same call too - today 12/8/2020 - I have reported it to the ATO. The ATO never ever phone people.

Strange message left on my mobile saying legal and social proceedings will be taken out on me if I don't press 1.I Called the number back and some guy answered and said it must have been a wrong number. Very strange.
