Caller: Caller identified as 'Nick Williams from Suncorp Bank' Call received from 'Nick Williams' from Suncorp Bank stating a transaction of $2700 has been blocked and needs verification to release the funds if it was a legitimate purchase or cancel the purchase. Purchase was apparently from "Silicone tools and travel". When i asked what account he was referring to he told me for privacy reasons he couldn't disclose that... (sound the alarm bells!). When I said I would need to check with my partner, he said he already spoke to him. He could not tell me what the name of my husband is that he spoke to... I asked for his name, staff id, phone number etc. he then hung up on me after providing it. I called Suncorp and verified that the details he provided do not exist and confirmed it was a scam/fraudulent call. Interestingly, looked up Nick Williams, Suncorp MSW8520 and their is a profile with a Caucasian man which doesn't line up with his very thick Indian accent.
