Received a call from this number today and returned it but I got the message saying this number isn't available from this service. After reading all the comments I will be blocking this number and ignoring the calls. Cheers and thanks again.

Had two calls from this number today on landline. Not answered. No message left. Believe it to be a scam as others have commented.

Called from The Australian Research Institute. Polite lady named Rachel (maybe a slight Kiwi accent?) asked how I was going. Then explained she wanted to know if I qualified for the new government tax benefits and asked if I was under 55 and owned my own home. I said I didn't understand why she was calling me about my tax benefits and she just said "no worries, see you" and hung up.

I assume it's a scam seeking to glean personal information, but at least she was pleasant about it.

Get a Telstra guardian phone, when they here message they hang up

Answered the call at 5:55pm as the number actually came up on the phone instead of 'caller withheld'. Took 5 seconds for them to say hello and I swear it was a guy putting on a female's voice. Said they were from the Australian Institute of Research. Didn't want to listen to them tell me about tax incentives, so i hung up. Jumped on here to confirm that they are pests.

Getting 1 call per day from this number. No msg no voicemail so ignoring.

They have been calling me every day at different times. Never leave voicemail. I'll block the number now reading the comments.

yes, I receive a call from this number several times a month. I never answer, as I now know the number and they never leave a message. I don't bother calling back and wasting my call time.

I've had about 5 missed calls, glad I looked on here before I called back!

Calling me daily, looks on here and have since blocked it

Claimed to be from The Australian Research Institute! Had rung several times over a few weeks before I decided to answer - very strange. I ended the call.

Very dodgy. Evasive of most basic questions about where they were calling from and why. Defensive in response to questions.
Sounded like a man putting on a fake women's voice.

Have had 4 calls from this number on consecutive days. Went to voicemail. Have blocked number but they keep trying.

Just called me, asked if I owned property. Obviously a scam! Pretty tricky doing it via mobile number and also using what sounded to be an Australian.
