Gumtree whatsapp scam. I had a listing for sale and they contacted me via WhatsApp. Go to gumtree and search "delivery" under their help page and you'll see what the scammers are trying to do. They send you a false image of "instructions" to send your item to them via Gumtree+Australia Post. It's all scam. Don't do what they ask.

Scammer... Tried to buy textbooks from me on gumtree and asked if we could 'arrange Gumtree delivery' sending me a screenshot of "How Gumtree Delivery works" - Obviously fake because I couldn't locate that screenshot on Gumtree website and I asked for the link, but they did not reply. I then proceeded to ask where they were located and they advised 'Wollongong' to which I then replied I can arrange drop off to their address. No reply. GUMTREE DOES NOT OFFER DELIVERY!

Was just messaged via whats app in relation to a gumtree ad. Asked them to contact me via email/gumtree but persisted. I suspect a scam. Have blocked their number

this person contacted us today via WhatsApp requesting to purchase a text book that is advertised on gumtree, if you look closely at the link it is not for a gumtree site. luckily we blocked the card in time
